Happy International Writers day
Turning back the pages of history.
International Writers day is celebrated on March 3 since 1986.
This idea has been proposed by the International Congress of the PEN club.
An organization that was founded in London.
It was formed off poets, essayists and novelists, and playwrights and editors.
It is not only an organization that supports all kinds of writers
but also the first non-government body advocating for human rights.
Storm Jameson was the first woman president of the ENGLISH pen.
This was simply called PEN, found in 1921 which we call on the name
PEN INTERNATIONAL.
Within four years there were 25 PEN centers in Europe and by 1931 there were several
PEN centers in South America as well as China.
For over 9 decades they have been a genuinely international organization
encompassing a wide array of cultures and languages.
